The Board and sub-committees continue to play a major part in the success of the club, with members giving up their own time to ensure that the club continues to grow and develop. The Board meets around eight times a year to organise various races, social events and fundraising events.

The first event of the year is the Tom Scott Road Race, which incorporates a 10 mile race, now established as the Scottish 10 Mile Championship race, and a 6K Round the Loch race. The event is held at Strathclyde Park in early April and attracts several hundred runners.

During the summer months a Race Night usually takes place to raise funds for the club, these funds normally being used to transport athletes to many parts of the country.

In November the Annual Dance/Presentation Night takes place. With over £1000 worth of trophies to be collected, this is probably the highlight of the year for many of the youngsters as they are rewarded for their efforts throughout the year.

Finally, December proves a very busy month with both the Christmas Pudding Relay and the Annual Prize draw taking place. The Christmas Pudding Relay is a fun event which brings the whole club together with festive goodies being handed out to everyone at the finish. The day is rounded off with the Prize Draw being made, this being the main fund raiser of the year.
