TWO NEW CLUB RECORDS !

Fantastic performances today at the Scottish Schools Track & Field Championships saw two club records smashed by U17 Kristen Cowe and U15 Emily McNicol.

The day started off with Kristen on top form when she achieved consistant throws in the hammer, improving her previous club record and PB by over 2.60m, with a throw of 36.44m. Emily McNicol then went on to win the title of Scottish Schools U15 High Jump Champion, breaking the previous high jump club record, which has been held since 1999, with a leap of 1.57m. Tremendous achievements girls, you have done yourselves and your club proud!

 

SDS Junior Disability Championships

Terrific results from our young athletes on Wednesday 5th June at the SDS Championships in Grangemouth! Margaret Newell continued impress and was on top form to win gold in the 800m and javelin. Shaun Burke was the proud winner of two bronze medals in the 400m and 800m and Stuart Leghorn excelled in the 100m to win silver in an impressive time of 14.5s. Marvellous performances by all once again, well done!

What a good turnout from Law & District at Carluke Development Trust 5 mile road race on Sunday 2nd June. Lots of prizes won! Carluke jogscotland was well represented too. Well done to all who took part!

Well done to Tony Higgins, Darran Muir, Craig Marriott, Sharon Biggins and Tommy Currie who all competed in the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday 26th May.

Pamela McNicol - Scottish Schools Pentathlon Champion

Many congratulations to Pamela McNicol who won the Scottish Schools Pentathlon Championships (group B, 15 -17yr olds) today at Grangemouth. Pamela achieved a well deserved PB in the 80m hurdles with an impressive time of 11.95s, a PB in the long jump with a leap of 5.40m, a PB in the 4kg shot putt with a throw of 8.03m and a terrific overall PB pentathlon score of 3205 points.

Well done Pamela, fantastic achievements!
