Government Lockdown January 2021

Further to the First Minister's announcement on 4th January, all club training will cease until at least 1st February 2021.

As per Government guidelines, people are permitted to leave home for exercise however rules for this have changed. Essentially athletes must follow these guidelines if exercising from midnight on Monday 4th January;

• a maximum of two people from up to two households will be able to meet outdoors,

• children aged 11 and under will not be counted in that limit, and they will also be able to play outdoors in larger groups, including in organized gatherings.

• however, for everyone else – including 12- to 17-year-olds - outdoor exercise should only take place in a way which is consistent with the 2 people from 2 households rule.

• in addition, strict travel restrictions remain in place across Scotland. If you live in a level 4 area you cannot leave your home except for an essential purpose (exercising is one). When you do go out, stay as close to home as possible and stay away from crowded places.

• there is no limit on the number of times you exercise on any day.

Also, as there will be no training over the next few weeks the club board have agreed that the membership fees due on 1st February 2021 will not be requested, therefore the next membership payment is scheduled for 1st March 2021. If further lockdown continues the club board will review membership payments in due course.

Stay safe and healthy everyone and we look forward to seeing you out on track once the restrictions are lifted.
