**Provisional date

The Senior Road Race Championship is an internal competition which is open to all Law members in the senior age category.
Seniors are considered to be those born on or before 31st August 2008. Any athlete who turns 17 after this date can have any subsequent performances counted towards the Championships, but any performances prior to them turning 17 will not count.
An athlete must declare for Law & District in an event for that effort to count towards the Club RR Championships. For example, if a member chooses to declare for their University or College at the Tom Scott RR, then this effort will not count towards their points total for the Club RR Champs.
As per UK Athletics rules, to take part in a full marathon an athlete must be aged 18 or over on the day of the race.
Points are awarded based on finishing position in each event. For example, the first finisher from Law in the Tom Scott 10 Mile will receive the maximum 16 points, the second finisher receives 15 points, the third receives 14 points, and so on.
Best 5 events of 9 to count (for example, if an athlete does all 9 events, only their 5 best results will count towards their overall points total). This rule also helps protect those who may be injured during the season or are unable to attend a particular event.
No event is mandatory however each athlete is encouraged to take part in a minimum of 5 events during the season.
If an event is cancelled or postponed then this event will not be replaced.
If three or more events are cancelled then the number of best counting events towards an individual’s points total will be reduced to four. If one or two events are cancelled or postponed, then the number of best counting events will remain at five.
Prizes for the top senior 3 men and senior women will be awarded at the annual prizegiving in November 2026.
Each individual is responsible for notifying the Road Race Manager of their best Marathon and parkrun times during the period of competition). Should they fail to do so, the RR Manager will aim to obtain each athlete’s best time (for example, if it is available via the Power of 10).
Marathon must be measured to confirm accuracy (course measurement certificate is usually a requirement for a race license in the UK) and must take place on road.
At the end of a parkrun, athletes must scan their barcode and be on the official results for this effort to count towards the championships. A Strava activity will not be accepted as proof.
